Founded by Sven Wombwell

International Landscapes was founded by Sven Wombwell after many successful years as one televisions most popular Garden presenters and designers. Sven trained in garden design at Capel Manor College in North London whilst gaining vital hands on experience working for various soft landscaping companies and garden centres to fund his studies. Straight out of college Sven gained indispensable hands on building experience working for a large company specialising in adventure playgrounds and public spaces in London. Then out of the blue a television company called and with in a week Sven was thrust onto our screens, where his design talents were instantly recognised. This surprise opportunity was to be the first of over well 150 television appearances over the next 6 years on the BBC, ITV, CH5 and UK TV.

In 2004 Sven published his first book titled Lifescapes “Garden designs for your lifestyle” A beautifully illustrated book introducing readers to a new way of looking at garden design. From Contemporary to traditional, rustic to designer, this book helps the reader discover what type of garden best suits their lifestyle.

Sven has contributed to countless magazine and newspaper articles over past years and has appeared on stage lecturing at the Chelsea flower show, Gardeners World Exhibition at the Birmingham NEC and The Urban Gardens exhibition.

Sven has become one of the UK’s most recognisable garden designers with projects spanning the UK, Portugal, Spain, Italy and the USA. Sven’s designs are heavily influenced by the great gardens of the renaissance, using symmetry, strong ground patterns and a sense of grandeur. In either a contemporary or traditional space his bold geometric designs offer the client a space where calm retreats are created surrounded by exciting and vibrant planting schemes.
